This SmartLogger 3000A includes PLC module and supports multiple communication interfaces, including Internet (WAN), local area network (LAN), RS485, MBUS (compatible with PLC, including the required module), mobile networks (2G/3G/4G), as well as digital and analog options. This allows flexible connection options to collect data from different devices and modules. 

Capacity

The SmartLogger 3000A can connect up to 200 devices, with a maximum of 150 inverters. This capacity allows monitoring and data collection of a significant number of solar modules and inverters in a solar power system, making it ideal for solarmounters to collect and read remote faults and performance. 

SmartLogger 3000A installation and operation

The SmartLogger 3000A is lightweight and compact in size. Weighing only 2 pounds, flexible mounting options include direct wall mounting, DIN rail mounting or placement on a stable and flat surface. The SmartLogger features three LEDs that indicate various statuses and provide visual feedback on device operation. An integrated web portal or app allows the technician to configure the system. The presence of a USB2.0 port provides additional connection options or possible data storage.

What is MBUS and when should you use it? 

MBUS is a communication protocol that operates via power cables—similar to PLC. This eliminates the need for an additional data cable between the inverter and smart logger, making it ideal when cabling is challenging.

• No option to install a data cable? Choose the A03 or B02.
• Able to run a cable? Then the A01EU is the most logical and cost‑effective choice.

Note: MBUS loggers are often slightly more expensive, but they save valuable time in complex installations.
